Thank You for Coming to our Open House!

We have many folks to thank for our successful Open House this last week. We manage to see a lot of our beloved clients and partners.

First we wish to thank the many of our guests who not only took time out of their busy schedules but also came with gifts! Thank you all for your support. With out you all we would have not been able to out grow our old space and move into this beautiful new office.

We had a lot of fun and plan to ensure that this becomes an annual event!

Special thanks to our team and all the volunteers that help make this night a success!

We’re going to IDS West Trades Day!

Here at VictorEric we make it a priority to celebrate company culture and find fun things to do together around the city. Fortunately this month’s VictorEric Social Day falls on the Interior Design Show West’s Trades Day. IDS West runs from September 27-30th at the Vancouver Convention Centre and the Friday is reserved for professional members the design trade. The VictorEric team will be attending IDS West Trades Day and we are ready to be inspired, educated and meet other designers from all over.

In addition to the displays of innovative products and dozens of exhibitions, this year’s highlights include appearances by top designers and shopping at The One of a Kind District. Visitors can also see selections and winning entries of the 100 Mile House design competition, which challenged builders to construct a house entirely of products and materials from within 100 miles of Vancouver.

VE Summer BBQ & 2012 Awards

This last weekend the VE Team arranged for some quality time under the sun. We hosted our annual VE Summer BBQ & the 2012 VE Awards.

Lucky for us the usual rainy Vancouver weather was put on pause and the group got to step out under the sun, enjoy some delicious food and create wonderful memories outside the office! Half the group enjoyed a scenic yacht ride to Belcarra Regional Park to meet the rest of the crew. Belcarra Park which is tucked away on Burrard Inlet, was a wonderful place for the family (if you haven’t been, we would definitely recommend this spot for a quiet picnic or BBQ).

Connecting on a personal level is important to us and this was a great opportunity to relax and hang out with colleagues, family and friends. The day was filled with lots of food including burgers, lamb skewers, chicken satay, hotdogs, mussels, chicken hearts and more (big thank you to Paul and Evelina for organizing a delicious feast for the team).

We ended our lunch with the Spicy Showdown. 7 participants competed for the ultimate date night & spicy showdown champion bragging rights. Participants had to race against the clock to eat zucchini covered in 5 different hot sauces (Frank’s RedHot Extra Hot, Rooster Sauce, Jamaican Chilli Pepper Sauce, Nuclear Blast Hot Sauce and Miss Anna’s Hot Sauce) topped with cayenne peppers.

We would like to crown Miss Jenna as this year’s Spicy Showdown champion!

The most memorable part of the BBQ was the moment we took to recognize our hardworking team with the VE Awards. Creating an opportunity for peer-to-peer recognition fuels the fire of employee engagement, and creates a level playing field for reinforcing positive actions.

VE Social: Bike Riding

What better way to spend a Friday evening than to go for bike ride in the beautiful city of Vancouver. Some of the VE Team decided to organize a bike trip from the office through Granville Island, Gastown and Chinatown. It was quite the adventure!

At VE, we believe in having a close knit group. If we work and play together, we can improve our employee’s experience with the company. We also encourage our team to share this positive experiences with our clients.
