Unique Design Challenge: How to design a sleek and contemporary auto body shop to get the most out of an old fashioned garage space VictorEric Design Solution: We wanted to design a waiting area for our client that offered style and comfort, and one that conveyed organization and efficiency. B&D Autobody came to us looking to upgrade their space. B&D Auto body is the preferred auto body shop of the Vancouver MINI Cooper Club – they are factory trained for repairing MINI’s and are used exclusively by MINI Yaletown for body work. That being said they wanted to update their look to suit their new clientele. Waiting for your vehicle should be a pleasure. Aside from the free coffee and doughnuts, our clients say their customers rave about the very comfortable and modern waiting area. A notable mention includes the black leather high back chairs fit for your own living room. We took a blank concrete canvas and chose to create a cool vibe with bold colors of grey, black and white. We custom fabricated a table topped with glass with a base of stacked tires, added colorful automotive themed artwork and threw in accents of chrome and silver. This is not your ordinary auto body shop. Customers don’t even mind waiting. Once inside the shop, the reception area is welcoming and easy to find an it is sleek, modern and organized. We designed the space to work well for both customers and employees. We prominently displayed the company logo on a clear plexiglass sign to reinforce the company name and logo and to remind customers upon exiting who to call for quality auto body shop work.
