Unique to Vancouver, Vancouver Specials hold a special place in our hearts: they are reminiscent of childhood for so many who grew up in these unique homes. This  house is a typical Vancouver Special inside and out; functional, bare bones, and nothing exciting. We updated the old 70’s exterior by getting rid of the sea foam green accent colours and introducing a contemporary high contrast black and white scheme.

The interior space was dramatically transformed simply by removing the middle wall between the old kitchen and hallway.
