The existing house was a Vancouver Special with a setback front entry that is not easily visible from the street. We improved the front entry by pulling it out a little more and adding a metal canopy that wraps around the center of the front façade to help lead the eye to the setback entry.

We re-planned the space to a more logical public space in the main and private bedrooms on the second floor type of arrangement. The den is small but improved by adding a barn door to open up the space. The stairs facing the front door were not good for feng shui so we added a custom millwork closet as a divider.
