We successfully created a modern Asian space by taking design cues from traditional asian elements. We used dark stain horizontal wood slats as a repeating theme throughout to echo Japanese interiors. George Nelson bubble lamps is a modern take on the Chinese lantern. They were suspended throughout at random heights and locations. High-gloss painted wave contour MDF panels were used at the bar and mezzanine seating. With recessed lighting closely washing over it, there’s a sense of trickling water, something common in Asian interiors.
