Duplex and Multiplex

We build three kinds of multi-unit home in Metro Vancouver, and the right one depends on your lot more than your preference. Here is what each involves and where to read more.

Multiplex

Three to six units on a single lot, now permitted across much of Vancouver and Burnaby. Best when the lot can carry the density and you want the most from the land. Read more about multiplex construction in Vancouver or multiplex and duplex projects in Burnaby.

Duplex

Two homes, side by side or front and back. The simplest route to a second home on the property, and usually the fastest through approvals. Read more about duplex construction in Vancouver.

Laneway House

A separate small home at the rear of the lot, off the lane. It keeps the existing house in place, which is why owners who are not ready to rebuild start here. Read more about laneway house builders in Vancouver.

All three forms are designed and built by one team here, from the feasibility study through city approvals to handover. VictorEric has been building in Vancouver since 1997 and multi-award-winning since 2007. Recent multi-unit work includes a six-unit SSMUH in Burnaby, a four-unit multiplex on a standard Vancouver lot and a garage converted to a laneway home.

"The quality of the finishings exceeded my expectation and the general layout and functionality of the space is amazing. I have received many compliments from visiting friends and family on what an amazing new home I have. All of the residents of this new complex seem to feel the same way!"
