Deer Lake Custom Residence

This custom home sits on a stunning sloped lot overlooking Deer Lake, and every design decision was shaped by the land itself. The main living area was intentionally crafted as a large glass-wrapped space—almost like a floating fish tank—to capture uninterrupted views of the mountains, Deer Lake, and the surrounding green belt. With floor-to-ceiling glazing on all sides, the room feels immersed in nature while still offering total privacy.

Because of the site’s terrain and a strict environmental setback, any area beyond the protected line couldn’t be disturbed. Instead of limiting the design, it inspired it. We shaped the home to sit lightly on the slope, extending a beautiful glass “box” over the untouched green belt. This approach not only respected the natural landscape but also gave the clients a peaceful, private outlook filled with greenery year-round.

The walk-out basement opens directly to the pool area, creating a seamless indoor-outdoor experience. This level includes a spacious bar for entertaining, a temperature-controlled wine room, and a thoughtfully designed change room that ties the whole space together.
